Models * Testors 1/72 SBD Dauntless - TES 693 - Testors
The true history of the Douglas SBD Dauntless is more importantly in her deeds rather than her lineage of technical design. Throughout World War II the Dauntless fought in the most famous battles delivering hard punches to the Japanese fleet in the Pacific. While a few were given to Great Britan and New Zealand, it was the Free French, other than the US Navy, who most used the Dauntless and this in Morocco. SBD's were on the ground at Pearl Harbor in December of 1941. 3 days after Pearl Harbor an SBD sank a Japanese Submarine. Wingspan 7.7 inches. Plastic cement and paint are required for assembly, and are sold separately.
