February 20, 1962, John Glenn made history as America's first astronaut to orbit the earth. In 1998, Glenn made history once again when he flew on Space Shuttle mission STS-95, becoming the oldest person to fly to space. We are proud to present our special flight jacket commemorating the 40th anniversary of John Glenn's Mercury 6 mission. Our jacket is a military-style flight jacket, modelled after the jackets worn by early astronauts. The jacket is outfitted with patches that commemorate John Glenn's entire astronaut career.
