Topsy - Turvy - Music
Leigh's high-minded telling of the Gilbert & Sullivan story is a thorough, highly ambitious effort. Concentrating mainly on the conception and production of the pair's THE MIKADO (1885), Leigh has obviously researched this period in English history exhaustively, from the language to the costumes to the production numbers.
