The control panel includes easy-to-use Soft Key Controls, and it slides forward to reveal an extra-large multi-mode hi-resolution color display with new graphics and a fine-pitch full dot matrix readout. The control panel and display have adjustable angles to maximize visibility and convenience. The KDC-X869 plays MP3-encoded CD-R/RWs as well as conventional CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs. It has a built-in 50 watts x 4 amplifier, System E's + Advanced Crossover System, and gold-plated 5-volt front, rear & non-fading pre-outs for easy system expansion. Its System Q-EX Sound Control offers preset EQ curves like Jazz, Rock, and Pop for customizing your music, and you can also use its bass, midrange, and treble tone controls for further fine-tuning. The KDC-X869 is SIRIUS satellite-, HD Radio- and Kenwood Music Keg-ready, and Dual-Zone capable. A grip-type remote control comes standard.
