Georgia Chair Oak Bookcase [3636-GCC] - Bookcases and Shelving
Material: Plain selected oak, straight grain stock free from knots, checks, or other defects effecting durability or appearance. Finish: The finish shall consist of staining to selected finish, two coats of sealer and two coats of best grade lacquer. All parts are to be sanded between coats. Special stains upon request. Construction: The two upright sides shall be constructed of red oak panels 13/16'' thick and 12'' in depth. The inside faces of the panels shall have 5/8'' wide grooves for flush mounting K-V #225 shelf standards. Shelf standards permit shelf adjustments of 1/2'' increments and are available in an aluminum finish. The case is constructed with mortise and tenon joints, and a base bare measuring 4'' wide by 13/16'' thick. The base bar is secured in the upright panel by correct fit and glue as well as corner blocks for added strength. Top bars are 2'' by 13/16'' thick and the back bar is 1 3/4'' by 13/16'' thick as well. The top bar and back bar are secured to the upright panels in the same fashion as the base bar. The back is attached to the back and top panels in notched grooves with staples. All edges are sanded for smooth finish. Shelves are notched on the bottom to fit in the track clips for added strenght. Top is to be 12'' x 13/16'' molded on the outside edge and securely fastened to sides with 1 1/2'' x 9'' Phillips head screws. Back panel is 1/4'' thick lauan plywood.
